Billy Laity of Swell.com has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest surf session, totalling 26 hours, in the waters next to Huntington Beach Pier, California.
The 37-year-old San Clemente-local caught 147 waves during the cold, dark and stormy conditions to beat North Carolina's Thomas Cannon and his record of 24 hours.
Coming out of the water Billy said: "Kelly may have 10 World Titles, but how many Guinness World Records does he have? Exactly."
