Hot Water Music - Drag My Body
Hot Water Music - Drag My Body Lyrics
Well I got my heart up in a beautiful mess
I should’ve known better when I took the risk
To wreck myself and to gamble while broke
Shaking something mental at a loss for the words I’d once known
I traded two steps forward for three steps back
To get to know the meaning of showing respect
I found the pedestals and burned them down
To kill my idols and to bury the thoughts underground
I’m no longer deaf to the sounds
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor
Well I got my head up in a critical mess
Fighting like a demon in a shell I possess
Gnashing my teeth and speaking in tongues
Still shaking something mental at a loss of the words I’d once known
Something’s rattling my bones
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor
Stand to hold steady now
To take a breath and somehow
Take a step to begin again
After all we can only do out best
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor
Stand and hold steady now
I should’ve known better when I took the risk

After all we can only do out best
I’m hardly feeling human anymore
Enough to drag my body from the floor

Tattoo Age - Thom deVita [Part 2/5]
In the second part of the Thom deVita Tattoo Age series, Vice focus on the
touching and often hilarious relationship he has with Nick Bubash.
Thom and Nick met in the early 1970s and soon after Thom started to tattoo Nick,
he also started to teach him how to tattoo. Over the past 40 years their relationship
has gone way beyond tattooing, or even art for that matter, but they still continue
to create together.

Until The Light Takes Us [Full Movie]
Until The Light Takes Us tells the story of black metal.
Part music scene and part cultural uprising, black metal rose to worldwide notoriety
in the mid-nineties when a rash of suicides, murders, and church burnings accompanied
the explosive artistic growth and output of a music scene that would forever redefine
what heavy metal is and what it stands for to other musicians, artists and music fans
world-wide. Until The Light Takes Us goes behind the highly sensationalized media
reports of "Satanists running amok in Europe" to examine the complex and largely
misunderstood principles and beliefs that led to this rebellion against both Christianity
and modern culture.
To capture this on film, directors Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell moved to Norway
and lived with the musicians for several years, building relationships that allowed
them to create a surprisingly intimate portrait of this violent, but ultimately
misunderstood, movement. The result is a poignant, moving story thats as much about
the idea that reality is composed of whatever the most people believe, regardless of
whats actually true, as it is about a music scene that blazed a path of murder and arson
across the northern sky

Tattoo Age - Thom deVita [Part 1/5]
Tattoo Age is very proud to be featuring Thom deVita.
Even though Thom has been tattooing and creating art for almost 50 years,
there isn't much information out there about him.
He started tattooing in New York City's Lower East Side in the mid 60s
—when tattooing was illegal in the city—and quickly began to forge his own style.
Thom drew from a wide variety of infliuences for his tattoos,
everything from Pueblo Indian designs to Lord and Taylor shopping bags.
He also formed relationships with other American tattooers who were revolutionizing
tattooing by bringing in influences that went far beyond the usual array of images
found in most American tattoo parlors at the time.
We interviewed Ed Hardy, Nick Bubash, Clayton Patterson, Scott Harrison, Angelo Scotto,
John Wyatt, Robert Ryan, and Bubba Reeves to help tell Thom's incredible story.

Pegboy - Strong Reaction
Pegboy - Strong Reaction Lyrics
Left all alone to bear your soul
And the feeling in your heart is low
And I've hurt so many times this way
And I see us all but slip away
And I want it back right now and
I walk alone through the sleet and snow and pouring rain to
Get my heart broken, forever ever lost inside of
I walk along to slip and fall on strong reactions
Keep my heart broken, never ever amend myself
That's alright and that's okay
Of all the times I've sated free
You ask for things I cannot be
And I've read so many times before
And I see it all drop out the door
And I want it back right now and
I walk alone through the sleet and snow and pouring rain to
Get my heart broken, forever ever lost inside of
I walk along to slip and fall on strong reactions
Keep my heart broken, never ever amend myself
That's alright and that's okay
Left all alone to bear your soul
And the feeling in your heart is low
I've seen so many passing ways
I see our whole lives slip away
And I want you back right now and
I walk alone through the sleet and snow and pouring rain to
Get my heart broken, forever ever lost inside of
I walk along to slip and fall on strong reactions
Keep my heart broken, never ever amend myself
That's alright and that's okay
I walk alone through the sleet and snow and pouring rain to
Get my heart broken, forever ever lost inside of
I walk along to slip and fall on strong reactions
Keep my heart broken, never ever amend myself
That's alright and that's okay
That's alright and that's okay
That's alright and that's okay

Tattoo Age - Valerie Vargas [Bonus Footage]
When Vice filmed the Valerie Vargas Tattoo Age series, she took us to meet the
legendary English tattooer Lal Hardy. Lal has been tattooing since 1975 and is
generally considered to be one of the people who elevated tattooing in the UK
in the 1980s. Lal is also an amazing storyteller, and he entertained us for quite
some time at his shop, New Wave Tattoo Studio. We were so enamored with
Lal's stories that we kinda got off track and ended up talking more about
English tattoo history than Ms. Vargas. Oh well. What you have here is just a
snippet of our conversation with Lal that will hopefully turn into something
bigger in the future. Enjoy.

Forever: The New Tattoo - Recap of Berlin Book Launch
The suggestion that “tattoos are not just for sailors any more” is a familiar one.
It might be surprising to learn, then, that the popular media has been reporting
the arrival of tattooing in high society for nearly one hundred years.
To celebrate the release of “Forever: The New Tattoo”, Gestalten hosted an
evening of informative and entertaining talks by renowned tattoo artists Alex
Binnie and Duncan X, as well as by heavily tattooed art historian Matt Lodder,
author of the book’s preface. Further tattoo protagonists, namely Jon John,
Liam Sparkes and Zoe Binnie, attended the event at the Gestalten Space in Berlin
and gave us additional insight.
